Boys Basketball
The Boys Basketball team finished the season 12–11 overall, placing 4th in the CMAC. This season also marked a major milestone for Head Coach Bryce Stokes, who earned his 100th career victory!
Several players received postseason recognition for their performances this season. Adama Soumare was named First Team All-CMAC and also earned Second Team All–Southwest Ohio District honors. Duane Darden, Sada Barry, and King Wooten were all selected to the Second Team All-CMAC, while Javion McDonald-Ducksworth received Honorable Mention All-CMAC recognition.
Girls Basketball
The Girls Basketball team had an outstanding turnaround season, improving from 2-17 last season to 16–5 overall and 8–2 in the CMAC, finishing 2nd place in the conference.
First year Head Coach LaRonda Castleberry was named CMAC Coach of the Year, highlighting the program’s success this season. Kev’iya “Yaya” Parrish led the way with a record-breaking season, earning CMAC Offensive Player of the Year, Second Team All–Southwest Ohio Division I, and multiple other accolades and new school records.
Additional conference honors included Jayda Williams, who was named Second Team All-CMAC, and Braniya Jackson, who earned Honorable Mention All-CMAC.
Dater Junior High Basketball
Both Junior High programs had strong seasons, each finishing as Runners-Up in the CPS Junior High Tournament.
Dater Boys Junior High Basketball finished with an impressive 12–3 record.
Dater Girls Junior High Basketball posted an 8–3 record on their way to the tournament finals.
Gymnastics
The gymnastics program also celebrated several notable honors this season. Michelle Zych was named OHSAA District Assistant Coach of the Year!
Additionally, Gabby Cruz Lenihan earned the Southwest Ohio Sportsmanship Award, while the team was recognized with the Southwest District Team Sportsmanship Award.
Wrestling
The wrestling program, led by first-year Head Coach Michael Francis, continued to build momentum this season. The team also reached an exciting milestone by welcoming the program’s first-ever girls wrestler!
Esports
Esports finished the season 6-2 under first year head coach Lindsay Laroche!
The Mustangs finished the season as one of the better teams in Cincinnati! Losing in the regional semifinals and being one match away from playing in the State Championships!
AQT
Academic Quiz Team welcomed a lot of new team members to the team this year after graduating 7 seniors last season. Finishing 4-14, the Mustangs look to come back stronger next year with one year of experience under their belt!
